Delete your Friendly Dictionary account
You can delete your account yourself inside the app in a few taps, or ask us to do it by email. Either way, the account and the data listed below are removed.
Option 1 — In the app (immediate)
- Open Friendly Dictionary and sign in.
- Tap the orange heart (MY) at the top right of the home screen to open the Likes page.
- Tap Delete account (red text, top right).
- Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — By email (within 7 days)
If you can no longer sign in, send an email to friendlystore.korea@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, with the subject line "Delete my account" and your nickname in the message. We will delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm. If the request comes from a different address, we will ask you to confirm from the registered one first.
What is deleted

What is kept
| Data | Why |

| The "used" mark on PIN codes you redeemed | A calendar PIN can be used once. After deletion the record no longer points to any account, but the code stays used and cannot be redeemed again. |
| Crash reports already sent to Firebase Crashlytics | They contain no account information and are automatically deleted by Google after 90 days. |
| Abuse-prevention counters (hashed network address) | They expire on their own within 2 days and cannot be linked to you. |
| Encrypted backups | Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten. |
Please read before deleting
Deletion cannot be undone. The PIN code printed on your calendar cannot be reused after it has been redeemed, so to use the app again after deleting your account you would need a new calendar with an unused PIN.
Food Album photos and records are stored only on your phone, not in your account. Deleting the account does not remove anything from your phone; uninstall the app if you also want that local data gone.
